Mouse Input Issues

Actually just found this forum having in the past used the old Mackie site. Seems It has been shut down and reopened again.

So with the option to post on both forums, why not.

My post:-

Hello all,
well been using my d8b trouble free for a few years after some fan mods and OS update, until now.

I've been using a USB trakball into a USB > PS2 adaptor problem free, however it has just stopped working...

I then booted the system with the Standard PS2 mouse and it tracks up and down , but not left and right.... I then Proceeded to plug the Trackball back in but the cursor disappears and renders the keyboard useless....

With that I cant safely shut down, just the "pray it'll still work" power down.

I'm guessing the controller chip is faulty ?
Would a PCI usb card work ?

Appreciate your help in advance.

Matt.

Just formatted and reinstalled the OS....

No Good I'm afraid .....

Oh Dear, this is bad.....

I looked at the Schemattics for my motherboard and it has pin outs for usb, does anyone know if the the d8b OS can access this?

If not, would a PCI card work ?
