Hello everyone, I have a issue that just started yesterday when i turned on my d8b, both the PHONES/CUE MIX 1 and 2 there is white noise mixed with Digital Noise. What i mean by Digital Noise, is when you move any of the volume pots you can hear a digital clicking. You can only hear audio in the headphones when it is turned up really loud and even then it is vary faint, you cant hear anything when you press the talk back. I have plugged the headphones direct, and the same result, I have also opened up the board and re-seated every ribbon cable, still no change. I am now using the the studio out which works great, everything else on the board is working. Am thinking it might be component base, like a diode went out? I was also thinking of reloading the OS? Any ideas what it might be?

The only thing I can think of to check is to make sure that J60 is still connected inside the console.
http://www.sonido-7.com/d8b/files/d8bse ... sembly.pdfGo to page F-11 and 12 and look at step H to see what and where I am talking about.

If you are lucky, that is all it is... It could be component based I suppose.

Hi
the Phone section is mainly analoge, except the digital Input and the Mix bus.
try the following: connect an audio source to 2TRACK A or B or C and select This as Input (ONLY THIS, nothing else)
I think this should still work, if not then it is more easy to nail down the problem

This is just what happend to me last night,
i needed 3 headphones so i took a headphones A out to a multi headphone amp to connect two, and
there it was, if i turned the fader or solo volume there was digital clicking all linear clicks per movement.
when i pulled the headphone jack A from the back of the D8B that goes to the headphone amp slightly out all was perfect, !!!
checked the lead and all was ok.... strange,!
so try and pull the jack slightly out.
see if it still does it
thinking about it,,, also see if its still there when you press the "mono" button in the control room section ?
