Hi,
Well it was the card! I bought a serial 9 from eBay ...went to put it in and the bottom midi connector..db25...was contacting the chassis so the card wouldnt seat.I unscrewed the bottom female screw, and now it seats! And I'm back with my FRANKENHUI!
I had made a convertor in Bomes midi translator pro that converts hui to MCU and back. And its working again! So happy!
I had so many custom button pushes and shifts and such programmed that I'm still trying to remember what did what. Not the normal stuff. Things like moving the mouse cursor on my daw with d8b buttons..heheheh. Should a wrote a manual:-)

I'm posting here so ppl can know the serial 9 works w old mb d8b, but you have to remove the bottom screw on the cards midi db25.
Thanks all!
