OT: If not Flash, what?

I'm getting ready to completely redesign my band's website and even the EV website, again. Actually, I'm thinking of hiring a company to do it since I totally suck at it and hate doing it. I was wondering, though, since Flash doesn't show up on iPads or iPhones, what can I use as an audio player that will? I searched and searched but haven't been able to find an answer for this. My main concern right now is audio, but I'll be worried about video later on, too.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Dan

Hi Dan, hey Peter...

Flash is all over the place, weird that it does not show on what everyone (it seems) has as a mobile device. But I am with Peter on this one... I have no idea. Some techo-web-geeko has your answer but he is buried in a basement somewhere working on codes and whatnot. :geek:

Yeah, that's the road I keep ending up going down, Peter. Using the HTML 5 audio tag but falling back to Flash when a browser (like IE 6,7, 8) doesn't support it. I'll probably end up using JPlayer. All this stuff is way way way over my head. I need to hire a company that's on top of all of it, I guess.

If you're at all interested, I learned some interesting stuff from this article

c-ya,
