Un-nerving startup issue...

Often, I switch on my d8b, and it starts immediately to pulse, about once per second, emitting a mild pop on the outputs and all lights/meters flashing in sync. Usually I have to shut it off, wiggle the Bigass connector or perform other cable resetting and after a few times the mixer boots normally.
Is this a known symptom of a forthcoming problem?
thank you,
Eric

I have the same issue with mine! I rearranged the midi card in the cpu to a different sort order and that helped but it still happens sometimes. Make sure you turn on your monitors after you know its functioning so you do not "pop" thru them!

Same with mine, make sure there is no strain on the "big ass" connector. For example, hanging with no support or a hard right angle bend close to the connector. This is not a technically sound fix by any means but I've found that it helps with mine.
