New D8B setup

Hello guys, I am new to the d8b and this forum, but have been lurking for a while. so here is the deal ,I just purchased a really clean d8b console 5.1 os , all four cards running all plugins, with Mackie HDR 24/96 both with adat cards. This systems runs great, so now I want to use the d8b to record to my DAW ( studio one pro). My current DAW setup is Mac mini I7 quad, universal audio Apollo twin interface with uad plugins, studio one pro, waves diamond bundle plugins, Slate drum samples . My goal is to have a hybrid system and use the HDR and the DAW combined. All playing back through the d8b just like it does with the HDR. I would like to run my External pres 16 channels into the line inputs of the d8b , track through the console into the daw, edit in the daw , also record with my Apollo interface if need be to use uad plugins like neve 1073 , and return all through the d8b . Is this setup even possible? I look forward to your responses.

Mark

Also just a thought could I use a M-audio profire lightpipe - It's all adat ins and firewire out that could plug right into my Mac . any thoughts on this?

Well, you sure have some mighty fine gear there. It's gonna have to be a suck it and see situation in my opinoin. We could all hypothesise about how you should set it up but I'd be inclined to have an arrangement with your supplier that you are able to try before buy in terms of the interfaces. One thing's for sure, you're definitely a candidate for an external wordclock device and you don't mention if you have the Apogee wordclock card in your d8b. You will need that as well. Best of luck. :)
