Hello -

Okay, dont laugh at me, but I am building a new desk for my d8b and i dont want to use the side panels and the arm rest, but after removing the side panels (easy enough) i figure there would be similar screws for the front piece...but there isnt.

And it appears that the screws under the unit are NOT the screws that remove the armrest either. So, before i proceed any further can anyone tell me how do i remove the arm rest?

Thanks

You take the bottom off and they should be visible. You have to use a short handled screw driver with the faders in the way as they are parallel to the faders, if that makes sense. As I recall the screws are the same type that are used on the side panels. It has been a few years since I built one but that is how I remember it.

It is doable with everything in place...just not fun.

Hey Thanks Crash -

I did it last night, easy enough...removed the bottom screws to take off the panel and as you said, they are right there under the fader boards....arm rest off.

I will start a new thread with my desk build on it...start to finish for newbies like myself wondering how to do this!!!

Good to hear. Post pics of your build if you can.
