How many pins on the 2401. I'll check.

The brain board utilizes the 6-pin tsoc smt package, pins 4-6 are no connection...

That'd be an interesting 'test' as it were, Peter. Spidey Sense leads me to think it actually might cause problems, unless the ADSP-2181 micro-controller handles the exception (not 'seeing' the DS2401). But IMHO, ultimately it comes down to the OS byte code that executing (OS v5.1 platform) and it's 'conversation' with the hardware/firmware onboard the desk. Perhaps a dialog to open discussion about open-sourcing what they could? I don't think this issue is settled yet, by any means...

Hang in there, y'all - we're not done yet... ;-)

Just for the fun of it. I just tried to buy the Authorization code for 5.1. The website directed me to take my credit card. They just told me a couple days ago that they were taking this down off there site. These guys from LT are scaring me. I too would be glad to pay for this update. BTW I did buy it and then they gave my money back after it did not work. Information for anyone who still has their money in LT's bank account.

Just to force the issue, I think I'm gonna purchase a 'license' from Mackie's web site for the OS v5.1 code... just to see where this all goes with Mackie...

By hook or crook, this will get some level of resolution... GRRRRRR :geek:

I have this week been intouch with mack tec, regarding no box codes for my plugins,
here his is reply....
"One thing that I want to mention is to make sure to keep that original paper work that you have on file because the unlock code that you have for the 5.1 software is correct and currently the code generator/data base has gone down for the 5.1 software, so I am not able to see the 5.1 software unlock code. We are working on fix but it is still currently down."

Just a thought
if a few of us give there Esn number and also there 5.1 software unlock code, then with the 3 or four pairs of codes is there any sort of software code breaker we can put a pair in and find out how it is generated ?
i can see this would not work with only 1 Esn and 1 unlock code but surly with a few pairs ??
there can only be one way of getting the code from the esn ?
just a thought may as well try and do it our selfs as mackie are obviously not in any great rush to fix it, and therefore
dont care too much.

Good grief, your'e right. This is just a simple math problem, well maybe not simple but solvable with enough pairs. Come on guys, ante up.

Have a blessed day,

It seems with a code breaker program or a great mathematician and 5.1 users donating their working codes to us poor left out in the cold 3.0 users, it just may work:) Hmmmm....
