Read this thread. That's what I did (and krstudio as well). It works a charm.

Guys

I managed to install new HARD DRIVE

Here is screen shot of my config

However, I am unable to install OS
I don't have 5.1 on floppy, only 3.0 so I assume I need to get a hold of a USB Floppy disc?
However, when I tried to boot off 3.0 Disc 1, nothing happens?

BTW. Just to be clear:
When I boot off Disc 1, the OS loader loads and looks like the CPU is processing the first floppy - floppy light flashes, I see a flashing asterisk in the right corner.
But after 1 min, the floppy light tuns off and I don't see any messages on the monitor?

How did you get to format the new HD if the first floppy can't be read?

I have a bootable DOS disc that I used to FORMAT and FDISK

I'm just wondering whether if you formatted from the floppy, would it be smoother sailing but I recall you don't have a floppy drive on your computer to turn format: on. I note that the disk space is marginally larger than 32 gig and I can't check mine at the moment to see if it's the same.

Thanks Peter....The MSDOS disc is bootable and hence I was able to run the FORMAT command from my DOS disc once I booted the CPU (Format and Fdisk are part of the DOS app, so they can run standalone).
I did not use any "switches" with the FORMAT command...just FORMAT C:\
Have I missed something?

Should I try and limit to under 32Gig via Fdisk than?

I can't answer those questions. I'm not competent enough with PC stuff. Hopefully Mike R, Frank or Synthjoe can drop in and help. Is it a 32 gig drive or is it a larger drive clamped to be recognized as 32 gig?

it's a larger drive than 32G that have been configured via jumper settings to 32Gig
