This project is what really convinced me to get another d8b. Having 96 bankable channels makes me smile like a little school girl. Seeing some of these d8b's for sale on ebay with busted cpu's and missing cards just makes me want to get some more. Can't wait to get the software and watch my friends drool. Keep up the amazing work.
Patiently waiting. :)
Cheers!

Turning blue Marc and Frank... I gotta breath man... what's up? If you can pull this off, you are honestly sitting on a gold mine. (this is why you should incorporate my services so I can help you help yourselves) believe me I am good at this stuff!

I am totally not kidding. :geek:

Please, please, tell me this is not a ruse guys!!! Let us know which way the wind is blowing or if it is blowing and in what direction and what is the air speed.. etc.. etc...

Hello all!

We're still progressing guys! Frank has been very active on the project this last week! We sorted out a few quirks and we're due for a meeting in the next few days to shoot a new video for you folks. We ran into problems as we were advancing through the journey (bad MIDI implementation, weird behaviors, unspec'ed responses, etc.) it's taking a long time to find workarounds sometimes. Still, there's hope! We're got pretty much everything where we wanted it to be, considering that the MCU protocol is quite limited!

Hang in there guys, you won't be disappointed! :)

Just want to say you guys are incredible! This is the reason I bought a d8b in the first place, to have a full sized DAW. I only have one question. Can you post a video explaining your physical hook-up? When this solution is finally up and running I need to know that I can connect to a Mac Pro. Thanks guys!

And Salvator, hook these guys up. If they can figure out how to make the d8b look like a HUI and 2x8 channel strips in a Mac, I would be so in business.

Do it, to it!

Hey. What about making it open source?
So lot of people and programmers can work on the code and make it to a big thing.

Hello all,

Finally, we've got something new to show! :) I just uploaded our new video to YouTube for you guys to watch. Sorry for the poor picture quality, we kept the lights low for you guys to see the various LEDs and such.

We've got some little bugs to squash out still, but it's really looking like a operating board now! :)

That's great Marc and Frank, finally some progress!!! Of course the right hand side has got much more to write code for but still it's a progress, well done boys!

After a second view of the video I believe I can see the meters doing a short freeze every time you press a button. Or is it the video quality that makes this.

It's also clear that the HUI thing is almost there. Congratulations!

BTW is it possible to get other functionality apart from the HUI implementation, like say, Plug-in control?
