Can you test the old video card, or the "new" old one in something else, just to verify either are good?

I've switched the original video card now with a couple others I have...and they normally work...but still no video.

I believe the d8b rig is fairly particular on which video card you can use. Are you positive you have one that is compatible?

Well, any PCI or AGP video card should at least boot up showing the very first init sequence on the screen. A non compatible card will not keep on loading the OS but you should definitely be able to rule out any problem with the video card and/or the motherboard.

As it is now it appears the motherboard is kaput.

..Seems the same to me. I guess S and X in Tacoma is the place to find parts? Would like to have them just fix it but even if I just get the parts (motherboard..possibly power supply?)...I imagine both ways will be expensive. Hate to just sell as is..but may end up doing just ...really don't want to...
