Hey Sverred! Go for that card. Looks like I'm good ..Casey and I made a deal, and I can rebuild the cpu unit with what he has. There's no problem using an older motherboard when the original was one of the newer boards is there? Course I know the bios settings etc in the hard drive will be different. I'm only running 3.01....

The mounts and connections are likely different but I really don't know for sure... I would think that they are not interchangeable. I actually have both cpu units and have been meaning to work on the older one, but haven't found the time. If I get to it I will post results, but by that time you might have already received your new MB.

Thanks for the input Michael...actually, since I'll be getting the whole cpu unit..I was going to use the older one I'm receiving (with the working motherboard and power supply)..and simply put a new hard drive in etc., reload the OS and use with the D8B. So the question would be...were there any changes that would stop me from using the older cpu unit with a D8B that had originally come with the newer version CPU unit?

No, there is no problem at all using an old CPU with a console that used to run on a new cpu. I am doing that as we speak...

Yes, sverred is correct! The desk and cpu units are interchangeable they have all the same hook-ups. The guts and insides of the desk (mixer) are likely the same, but the cpu units is where I have some doubt if they are laid out in the same way.
