I refer you to this post where you claim you have mapped "solo" amongst other things.

I refer you to this post where you claim that you mapped out track arming when it has nothing to do with midi mapping.

I refer you to this post which you found out from me.

I refer you to this post where you claim you modified the OS to accommodate channel select, solo and many otherwise unmappable functions.

I refer you to this post on Christmas Eve whereby you are to sell your discoveries and "OS modifications" for $30.

I refer you to this post where you claim that you use the FX bank and Masters bank for midi control, yet the Masters bank has many functions disabled (pan/auxes etc.).

I refer you to this post, again referring to complete implementation of the Masters bank after OS twiddling.

I could go on but I would appreciate you clarifying the claims made in the above links since it seems that your video indicates that most of their content are grossly exaggerated, since questioned and corrected by the forum personnel.

I appreciate that, as you keep telling us, you are only 15 but still, the truth is kind of mandatory around here... or as close as you can get. :)

if you actually read all my posts you would know that I own 2 d8b's and the one i did my "basic" midi mapping on was down on my "basic" and easy to show how to program console. it was a tutorial for new people to midi mapping. 1st of all... I really dont care if you dont believe me that I modified the os... any idiot that knows how to code can do it and ask around cuz its possible for anything. 2nd of all... im not obligated to show my work here and I share as I please... right now my board saved my ass from forking out 3500 for a used control 24 so you can sit there and criticize my work as your console becomes more dated and unusable. how much have you improved the d8b experience mr peter? last I checked none

I call bullshit, other than those things that are actually achievable. Prove otherwise. I've made a few orbits of the sun.

Like I said, I'll host your OS modifications, no charge but I'll want to check them so that others don't mangle their machines and I'll pay for it if it works. Do you take PayPal?

Don't demean yourself so readily.

You obviously haven't done a lot of checking. Carry on.

I think everyone needs to calm down! Its turning into a war zone. The board is not a show-off zone and we all try to help each other out. This has definitely turned into a Young Gun vs Experienced Old Hand war.

Tyler you do need to give respect to Peter as he has put a lot of unpaid effort and time to maintain the knowledgebase for a product out of production for several years. If not for him we would be stuffed as Mackie seem to have done their best to kill it.

However I think all the name-calling on both sides needs to stop.

Tyler I think the main point is fair, its not unreasonable for people to want to find out how you modified the OS to allow Bank 4 full MIDI control. After all you made the announcement and promised to show how. If you do not want to that is your choice but it would make many wonder why you announced it like you did?

Forums like these are for users to help each other.

All you say is true, Nigel and thanks for the affirmation. It just irks me that this kid makes a comment like
"and there you have it. I find this very funny because nobody has done this and im only 15 hehehe"
and offers no proof. Like I said, I'll eat humble pie if he can prove his claims. My main concern is that he'll screw his board because the OS is proprietary Mackie modified, not straight ahead Windows.

Judging by Tyler's other post looking to sell his D8B for some crappy Behringer controllers, I think its safe to say the famed MIDI mapping of all banks was a myth? Seems in the space of some 4 weeks he has gone from loving the desk to wanting to sell it. Oh the impatience of youth...

i dunno lets not give up on Tyler so readily... remember not too long ago a guy named High C Double G?

Except for the fact that Tyler appears to be more verse in the new game, he reminds me a little of myself. No one has to "prove" anything around here or anywhere really.

I know Anyhorizon is a complete straight shooter (and not just in the old days! ) and really my opinion, not that anyone gives a hoot, but it is this... talk is cheap show me some action. Just saying... :|

All my best,
Michael

I think Tyler was thinking ahead of himself and claiming the now when it was actually what he thought the possible future could be. You gotta have the nuts and bolts when you post extraordinary claims. Lotta people got excited but proof kinda works for me.
