VOTE fanless console build in PSU

Postby munkustrap » Thu Jul 03, 2014 8:12 am

Hi all

as some of you here dream of a console build in fanless power supply to make a plain DAW Controller (with audio monitor control function), I want to make a call how many People are interested in that. If there are enough People interested, I will think about a design that makes it easy to be self installed.

BUT YOU WILL HAVE TO DO OWN DRILLING ON METAL

estimated costs for the PSU: about 200 euros ( I'm willing to make it transparent. material costs are about 100Euros, 100 I want to take for the work to solder the circuits and so on).

Planned design:
- 3 power supplies that have to be mechanically build into the console by you
- total cabeling for Connection
- power connector replace board (I will redesign the PCB with the Mackie Power connector. You will disconnect all connectors of this PCB and you can plug them into the new board which will be mounted instead of the mackie PCB.

Ok, If you are interested in such a board, reply in this thread

Yes, I’m in Ralph.

I should point out however, as others contribute and will continue to do so at your other venture (probox), it would be nice of you to contribute by giving us the option of either buying it from you or provide a full plan with the components and connections and let people decide whether they want to build it themselves or order it directly from you.

Many Thanks,

Deanoh
