Found a jumper???

Postby metalman88 » Sat Aug 07, 2010 5:28 am

My D8B stopped working...Nothing on the monitor, the CPU still runs.
I get a Error 43 system did not boot message if that helps.
I open the CPU and find a white jumper laying in there.I have no idea where it goes. The hard drive legend states no jumper if used as master. Can anyone help me?

If you can't see boot message on you monitor , try first to change VGA card , you can try S3, cirrus logic (PCI of course) ,if dont work
change pci slot for vga and use the older. Another problem maybe RAM fault. Personally with the same problem (error 43) i've changed slot for VGA and then everything is gone ok.
I hope this help and sorry for my poor english
antonio

p.s. tomorrow i can see if inside my rack there's a white jumper so to know where it's located.
