Am i receiving my routing in mono

Hey,

was wondering if someone could re-enforce a belief for me. i would like to know if im recording my stereo signal thats coming out of my daw is being recorded back in mono with this signal flow:

A)stereo 1+2 out of daw

B)into d8b channels 1L 2R Linked

C) Assigned above linked channels to Bus 1

D)Bus 1 is routed to tape 1+2 back into Daw

Basically my question is, from step C onwards is my original signal being routed into a mono channel then being recorded back in mono, if so what would be the routing solution to do this in stereo if possible?

Upon listening back i believe that i am recording back in mono.

Would this solve it?

Send Channel 1L on D8 to bus 1

Send Channel 2R on D8 to bus 2

Route bus 1 to tape 1

Route bus 2 to tape 2

It is easier if you route to tape Channel 1 to Tape out 1 and Channel 2 to Tape out 2.
