Try it and let us know... there are a handful of peeps that have two d8b's to be able to try this... it seems you are one of them. :|

Seems like a nightmare for limited result though. Two d8b's, two DAW's. Sync the DAW's with an appropriate time piece and away you go! I honestly do not see any benefit unless it is the only way to get a multitude  of tracks. And frankly there are much better and easier ways to get a bunch of tracks playing together.

If you are building up a bunch of tracks then, in my opinion, it is time to take your files to a house with the facility to...... facilitate doing that. Are you wanting to do this just to see if it can be done or do you have a plan?

Re-reading your post, the computers would have to be sync'd and the d8b's hooked up to each DAW. Then there is the subject of monitoring your mix(s) - Honestly beyond the scope of design and there are better and less expensive ways to do what you want to do. Give us more to go on, the simple answer is yes it is possible, is it practical, no IMO. Hope this helps.

Just my .02,

Michael
