help D8B and HDR2496

Postby Mr.Fonic » Wed May 25, 2011 12:04 pm

Hi, i need help
i want connect d8b with hdr2496. D8B has 3 ADAT interface and internal wordclock (by mackie), HDR2496 has 3 adat-tdif by apogee. The question is can i connect recorder and mixer via MIDI-MIDI for transport and for the 24ch via ADAT. For SYNC what i can do ? d8b send it via adat to hdr2496 ?
I've seen a schematics for connection, but require a wordclock from d8b with APOGEE.There's another way ?
tnx

p.s. If i pull out wordclock from internal pcb (by mackie) with a BNC , it's possible ? Marc can u help me with this mod ?

You need an Apogee clock card for the D8b, but these are very hard to find these days, clock with HDR as master and switch to not terminated, your D8b will be set to external sync.

PS....You're lucky, snap it up!!!
