Lol that's funny. I hope you get your desk up and running soon. When this happened to me the hard drive failed. I now have a spare hard drive as a back up as these systems are old now. Great desk though couldn't do without it and they still look great! ☺

I'd suggest the CF route - so much easier to work with, and backup.
Although it seems it might only work for the newer motherboards.

If you haven't tried these settings, they should fix your problem. but, most likely it is the CMOS battery.
