Q for the electrically inclined

Postby arjepsen » Thu Sep 06, 2018 9:04 pm

Hey.
My next big "d8b-modding-frenzy" project, is about putting some power supplies inside the d8b, in order to get rid of the big bulky CPU rack unit. (then I can build a small pc with the motherboard and pc stuff in on the side).
Anyways, Munkustrap had made some pdf's regarding which power supplies could be used for this.
But he makes no mention of the 48V supply - I presume since it isn't necessary for the probox setup.
However, I would like to retain the full functionality of the d8b, so I have to get/make a power supply for this.

Does anyone have some good suggestions for a supply for this?

The original plan for the d8b was to be all in the desk. The CPU was plan B as I believe there were noise and other issues when it was all in the desk....Good luck on your journey/frenzy.
