Did they ever get virtual tracks worked into the unit? I have considered switching over to one for the expanded track count but there does not seem to be a lot of info. on them out there. Seems to be a lot of older threads with reliability issues but I take alot of those with a grain of salt. Glad to see there is at least one with a positive view on it.

The X-48 does not have virtual tracks, but for my needs, 48 are more than enough, and sometimes too many can amount to unnecessary confusion and mixing complications. My previous setup was an Alesis HD24, with only 24 tracks, but on the rare occasion I wish I had more, which is why I bought this machine.
